Got Questions? We Have Answers

Want to Know More?

Feel free to contact us any time

What do I wear to class?

If it’s your first time, just anything suitable for dance.
Bare feet are fine for most lessons, school shoes or trainers would be ok for tap.

What do I bring to class?

You will need a drink and a packed lunch (if you’re staying all day).
We do have snacks and drinks available from the tuck shop too.

Are the dance teachers qualified?

All our dance teachers are qualified with the United Teachers of Dance.
All our teachers hold current DBS certificates.

Do we have to wait until a new term to join?

No, you can start at any point during the term.
Just contact us to check that classes are running that week.

When can we join?

Whenever you want. Just contact us beforehand so that we know you are coming and to check that there are classes that week.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes, we do – come along for an introduction and see how you get on.
Once you have had your free trial, and you want to stay, you will be charged at our standard rate for the remainder of classes within that current term.

How do I pay?

Payments are now by bank transfer only.  We can no longer take cash payments due to Covid-19 restrictions.
We ask that this is paid before the commencement of the new term.

Do I need a uniform?

We do have a recommended uniform, please check with us as the uniform may differ depending on which dance class that your child is interested in.
We usually recommend that for the first few weeks they wear their own clothes and after that, you can buy the uniform from our dance uniform supplier, just ask for details.

Can we stay and watch the lesson?

In our experience, children relax, pay attention and enjoy the lessons better without a parent or carer watching, as it can be distracting, so we ask that after the free trial/taster session, parents do not watch the lessons.
We do, however, hold at least two festivals per year that we encourage you to come along to, and the students perform in our bi-annual show too.

Do the children have to do exams?

No, they do not; although it is a fantastic experience and great for confidence building and rewarding after all their hard work.
However, if the children do not wish to partake in exams then they will not move up to a move advanced class with their friends after the exams have finished.

Do you run classes in the school holidays?

No, we do not, the dance school closes according to the holiday timetable set out by Coventry City Council.
If we decide to open during the school holidays, we will give you plenty of notice.
